Author: i got a laptop used and cant get into the drive thru the O.S., the laptop runs on windows 2000 pro. and i want to update it to xp pro.. the bios is set with first CD, floppy, lan, and hdd. it wont start from cd. it wont start a menu to upgrade 2000 to xp.
or more simply is there a way to get into windows 2000 without the password to upgrade windows 2000 pro. to xp pro. when the computer boots up to 2000 it has a window that comes up and asks to press ctrl, alt, and del then for a password. is there something i can do. i just want to upgrade the computer i don’t care whats on the hdd.
